God searched through out the heavens,
Until He found the most wonderful little boy,
Sent him to earth to teach mommy and daddy,
How to live a life filled with special joy.

You see Jesus needed Kainen to show mom and dad,
It only takes an I Love You and giving your heart to God,
To live a life filled with treasured memories and faithfulness,
When you follow a child that has been where angels trod.

God loaned Kainen to a chosen family down here on earth,
His loving earthly mom and dad, an adorable little sis,
And grandparents whose love knew no bounds,
A family that loves a very special boy; forever they will miss.

Active from the beginning, filled with a heavenly spirit,
Playing ball, riding bikes still going when others grew weary,
Sickness came to visit Kainen, the child God had selectively chosen,
He did his earthly task well; mention of his name makes eyes teary.

Kainen grew weaker and God called him back home,
He told all of his family goodbye and flew up heaven's way,
Though sorrow at losing Kainen is a daily part of their lives now,
Faith keeps the hearts even stronger; they'll claim him again some day.

Racing through a meadow of wild flowers chasing the heavenly doves,
Fishing and biking he enjoys, with friends he's made on heaven's shore,
He flies with the angels across the skies, touching the twinkling stars,
He walks upon streets paved with pure gold, straight to the Father's door.

It is lonesome without your presence here a sweet and cherished son,
Life without our darling Kainen, will never be the same,
You were so unique in all aspects of your amazing life,
Perfect at birth, through your sickness, until Jesus called your name.

Race around the heaven sweet Kainen, Free as the birds in the sky,
You are where we are going to arrive soon, holding to our Lords hand,
No pain or suffering for you now, you are whole and perfect once again,
Beneath the loving hand of God; you now dwell in Beulah Land.

We love you and will miss you always until we meet again our loving son
brother and grandson Kainen!

Only Here For a Little While

Only here for a little while,
or as God would count a minute,
the world became a better place,
while you were still here in it.

Only here for a little while,
yet, so many hearts you touched,
in the short time you were with us,
You taught us to love so much

Only here for a little while,
You were so brave and strong,
but God in all his mercy,
knew you had suffered too long.

Only here for a little while,
were you allowed to stay,
and then one morning God whispered,
“child, you must be on your way.”
